As planned early in 2014, investigative research has been proceeding on our two potential tidal energy sites near Campbell River, BC. The first phase of hydrodynamic (current) resource assessment modeling was completed by our partner Cascadia Coast Research Ltd. and a preliminary marine spatial planning stakeholder survey was completed in a joint effort by our partner Hemmera and Matt Taccogna, a masters student at UBC’s Institute for Resources, Environment and Sustainability. We are excited to be receiving reports on these valuable studies. This information will help steer the next stages of investigative research and help inform the future development pathway for these potential tidal power projects.
